My favourite animals.

The norwegian lemming

It is solitary, sociable when moving  to new feeding areas.

It is white, black and brown.

It eats a variety of plants.

It lives in Scandinavia and the Soviet Union.

It can walk fast, run and migrate long distances.  

It can´t swim very well.

It has got a fat and fluffy body.

The lemming resembles a mouse but has a short tail and fur-covered feet.  The rodent is the most numerous animal in its habitat and is source of food for many predators.
